A people's political movement founded in 2011 to usher in Democratic Socialism, secular peace, good governance, and equal opportunity for every community in Manipur.
The Origin and Historical Movement
The Democratic People's Front (DPF) was formally established in 2011 by esteemed leader and political visionary (L) Dr. Gurumayum Tonsana Sharma (S/o : Late Gurumayum Madhubangol Sharma, resident of Lairikyengbam Leikai, Imphal East; Retired Govt. Employee), alongside dedicated community organizers, intellectuals, youth leaders, and grassroots workers across the hills and valley of Manipur.
Recognizing the deep social polarization, economic stagnancy, youth unemployment, and administrative neglect that challenged the state, DPF was founded as a principled regional democratic socialist party. Its core objective is to return power directly to the people, ensuring clean public administration, protection of indigenous heritage, and balanced economic prosperity for all 16 districts.

To mobilize 60 assembly constituencies, provide transparent citizen grievance redressal, advocate for social justice, and build robust public healthcare and education.
